This year, the theme for First Lego League is climate, a rather interesting one, as this seems to be what everyone is talking about at the moment. So for our presentation, we wanted to do something different, something other teams would not be doing (eg. powerpoint presentation).

As we were thinking about what to do, our coach (Catherine) had a 'bright' idea. We were going to sing. We wrote a song based on Michael Jackson's beat it, which we named drain it. It is a song about how water can build up in built up areas near the fens, and cause localized flooding.

Our solution to this problem was the TechnoTank. This is a tank which you install underneath your house or patio area, and it collects rainwater from your roof and/or patio. The water in this tank could be used for watering the garden, flushing the toilet and many other uses, But the main use of the TechnoTank is to reduce strain on the drainage system in times if heavy rain.
